Jacob had just finished eating his dinner, today they were just having leftovers. Billy was already in his room for a nap but Jacob stayed out in one of the main rooms, the TV room. The front door could open into the short hall and was very visable from here, not that it actually mattered to him now. He had sat back and was looking through the channels. How come when ever I want to watch TV there is nothing on? He asked himself. He turned it off and went back to the kitchen, bored. He sat there at the table for a moment just thinking. That was even worse then watching TV. He decided to head off to his room now and maybe call someone or even retire for the night. Right as he began to do so he heard the door knob start to turn.
He jumped. Who would be here to visit this late? Not that it was very late, but it was late enough for people to be staying at home. Little did he know that this person actually was coming home. They seemed to be wondering wether to open the door or not and he grew impatient. He walked right over to it and opened it up wide. It was a woman, one who looked fimiliar but he could not put a name to her. "Hello? Who are you?" He asked. The more he looked at her the more she did seem fimiliar. Maybe she was just some lady trying to sell something and had seen her around the town a lot? No, that was deffinatly not it. Was she an old family friend that has come to visit? That was more likely but he still didn't think so. "Are you looking for Billy?" He added to the list of many questions that he wished to ask, but this one he said a loud. She was probably a friend of Billy's, one he had seen around a lot but had not really talked to. He figured that this was the best conclusion, for now.

There was some things that had been left unsaid when she had left willingly, Sarah Black would never give up on her family and she was going to prove that she wouldn't lay down and take whatever crap that Sam Uleys family liked to give on a daily and yearly basis every time she wanted to come home and be with her family. Sarah was going to take every chance and ignore every threat; no matter what they said and no matter what happened to her she was going to see her son and her husband if it was the last thing she did. Sarah had always wanted to die looking into the eyes of her family, so if this was it who better then to spend it with. Sarah had never meant to arrive so late, she was pacing outside of her house trying to go for it.
When she had decided she knew it was fairly dark outside so she drove to the home that she had known long ago and parked next to another truck before she got out and walked to the door, she stood there even contemplating for a few more seconds before knocking hard on the door itself. Sarah was thinking Billy would answer the door, she didn't expect to see the face of the boy she felt she had abandoned because she wasn't allowed to really come back any sooner, in fact her life was at risk now. Sarah hid every emotion she had "Hello, My name is Sarah" She left out her last name because she didn't want Jacob to know just yet; she didn't think that she could bare to see him deny her, it would break her heart more then she was allowing herself to admit.
"Yes, I am; is he available?" She asked looking at Jacob. "I'm positive that he is resting, isn't he?" She added. "I should have remembered he naps around this time" It had been many years but Sarah's memory never failed her especially around this time.

"No, I'm sorry he's not available he.." Then Jacob paused. This woman knew he was napping. How did she know this? Only Billy's closest friends knew about what time he liked to nap, but this person couldn't be one of them, Jacob knew his dads friends, but not this one. "That's right..." He answered about the resting and paused, curious to how she knew this. "He might be up soon, would you like to come in?" He asked and opened the door wider and lead her in, not really giving her a choice. He went to the kitchen table and pulled out a chair for her and a chair for himself, he took a seat immediately.
"Where do I know you from?" The questions started pouring out. He had a billion to ask but just tried to start small first. He didn't want to scare this person away, but he honestly didn't know who this was and wasn't sure how she knew them, he was determined to find out though. He looked very confused without knowing it. He just tried to make a friendly conversation and throw in some questions this would be the best strategy for getting some answers. Normally he wouldn't be so kind to a stranger, but apparently she wasn't a stranger and kindness usually worked best on adults.

This started to become very real to Sarah, and she felt that once Jacob found out the truth that he would turn her away and want her out of his life forever and for good. Sarah tried not allow herself to get to worried about such things when they hadn't happened just yet. Sarah wanted to see how this turned out to be honest. "I should have remembered, I am dreadfully sorry" She quickly apologized and then thought about his question that he didn't seem to give her any time to answer what so ever. "Sure" She trailed off and walked inside the residence of which she remembered somewhat vividly.
The smell and everything about this place was the same as she remembered it. Some of the pictures that were on the wall weren't there, but she found that to be acceptable for the fact that her whole family believed her to be dead. "Ah, you don't" She smiled sheepishly as she sat down after the door was closed. "You were far to young the last time I was here, a baby in fact. A small little infant" She reminisced and sighed. "You have grown up quite well, a handsome young fellow" She added without hesitation., She knew that she had to be sounding creepy, but then again when didn't she?

"No need to apologize, not many people know anyways." He replied quickly and shrugged as he was leading her in. He was turned around, if he wasn't he might've noticed her looking around, remembering, seeming to be happy or else he would have commented. He had something to say about everything it seemed. He was talker, but that wasn't always a bad thing. Although for some reason he hadn't been talking as much as he usually did with her. It was most likely because he didn't know her, or atleast thought he didn't know her. Slowly though, he became more and more comfortable which ment he became more and more talkative. He was glad she said sure to coming in, because it really was too late to change her mind.
When they were sitting he listened to her talk. She didn't sound very creepy to him. Something about her was sort of comforting, he felt at ease and wasn't quite sure why. But then again, he didn't care why. He grinned when she called him handsome. He liked it, but really who didn't like to be complimented? He would like to have said something back but he couldn't remember how she looked at all, so the words were really hard to find. "Thank you." He just decided to say. He stood up and went around to and leaned against the counter, "Hungery? Thirsty?" He offered to get her something not knowing how far she came from, her trip could have been hours to just a few minutes. "Sorry that I don't remember but do you live near by?" He asked.

How hard would it be when the time came for Sarah to actually sit it out and tell him that she was his mother? Sarah was finding it more difficult to dig herself out of the metaphorical hole that she was digging herself each second she didn't blurt out the fact that she was his mother, the one that gave him life and that one that allowed the pack to bully her to keep her away from him. She had failed him as a mother and couldn't do anything but continue to blame herself. Sarah should have remembered, but with the fact that Billy and her hadn't seen one another in so long she merely forgot more then she should have as his wife. Sarah smiled, she couldn't believe how good he looked; seems as if the genes were in his blood and he just looked that good looking. She couldn't really believe that this was little Jacob, the one that she held the night of the accident, the little toddler had the biggest of brown eyes and the blackest of hair. He was all grown up and Sarah fought every urge to cry.
He seemed to have the manners that she had wanted him to have even when he was small. Billy had raised him right and she was delighted if not excited and pleased with the outcome. "Your welcome" she replied. Hearing his question she waited until he was done speaking. "Thanks, but no thanks, I ate before I came" She admitted. The ride itself had been merely two maybe five or ten minutes, she didn't live far away and for good reason "I do, I live about ten minutes away, around the corner from Charlie" she admitted looking at Jacob. Sarah heard rustling around, but she wasn't sure who it was so she kind of brushed it off thinking it was just the wind or the trees.

He just nodded when she said she wan't hungrey. The only reason he wasn't was because he finished eatting just before she came. Earlier she just seemed like something was bothering her but he went on anyways. Then she mentioned that she lived pretty close by, this was a little suprising considering that he had barely ever seen her before. He couldn't think of a reason why she hadn't been here a lot. Well, maybe Billy goes out to meet her when they do see each other? Or maybe they were fighting and it just got resolved? He thought and figured the last one was more likely, even though Billy wasn't really one to pick fights with people, Jacob usually knew where Billy went when he did leave. Unless he was out everytime they had visited each other. "So you've been to Charlie's recently?" He asked looking for a conversation. Why hadn't he and Billy stopped by her house when ever the both of them were visited Charlie? Atleast once you'd think, but never. He wondered whether he should question her but knew he'd scare her off for sure, even though he did use a few every now and then but they were more of a casual conversation type, most of them anyway. "Why didn't your husband come too? Are the both of them fighting or something?" He questioned reffering to Billy and whoever her husband was. He was pretty sure she was married, she was a little older and something about her just made him draw this conclusion. He heard the rustling too, he saw her turn her head in it's direction and he did the same. There was a tree there but it didn't sound like just a tree to him and wind couldn't have possibly caused that sound, but as she ignored it he just believed her and went along that it was nothing.

Sarah didn't know how to explain the feeling that she felt when she was in this house, it brought back all the good times and everything that Billy and her used to do before the kids were even thought off or even when they were napping. Hearing the question that her son had asked her she nodded confirming that she had been over Charlies recently. "Yeah, only a few times this week, I'm trying to get my life back in order" She replied looking into Jacobs eyes knowing that he was hers, there was no doubt about it; not with them brown hues. "I'm separated from my husband, I'm sure that your father and my husband would get along great" Sarah didn't want to tell him because she was afraid of what he would do if he found out that she was his mother; the one that supposedly had died in a horrific car crash many years ago.
The noises continued and she heard the wheelchair and looked up, Billy's mouth dropped almost to the ground and she forced a smile trying not to be to noticeable after all her son didn't even know that she was his mother yet. "What are you doing here?" Billy asked "How are you here?" Billy added. Sarah looked down. "I came to see you, How am I here? faulty detective work," She sighed looking at her son then at her husband. "Have you told him?" Billy asked. Sarah shook her head and sighed.

Jacob didn't really say much to what she said, he just smiled and nodded. It was a little different for Billy to have a lady friend, most of his were boys. It wasn't that he didn't like girls of course, it was just that he seemed to have more in common with boys and they seemed to enjoy sports and such more. There was a slight moments pause until Billy was noticed, obviously he had just came from his nap and had been coming on in. There was something wrong though, or so it seemed. Jacob knew this by the look on Billy's face, he was absolutley shocked. Why? What was so suprising? A friend just came to visit, a near by friend as well so what was so different? Then the question came up of 'did you tell him yet?'. All the previous facial expressions just seemed to fade away. He was instantly confused. "What didn't you tell me?" He asked and turned to Sarah. He just felt so lost right now, there was obviously something going on in this room that everyone knew about but him. But why? And what was it? Jacob could never go without knowing, it was already eatting at him. His paitence began going away rather quickley. "Why didn't you tell me what ever it was anyway?" He kept asking questions as he tryed to get answers. He was never going to give up and it deffinatley showed. What was she trying to keep? Was she even trying to keep whatever it was? These and many more questions just went through Jacob's head all at once and it became very hard to think any further. He now had a pounding headache and a dreadful urge to know.

There was so much she needed to say, and so little time in this life. How could she tell Jacob that what she had told him was only a fabrication of the real truth. That she was actually his mother and wasn't dead like everyone seemed to think that she was. She was really here and she was really alive, Sarah knew it was going to be hard for him to understand or even accept. Sarah just hoped and pleaded with herself that he wasn't going to flip or grow angry at her for lying even in the slightest. Sarah looked at Billy and he looked at his son while she looked at the floor at her feet. "What person wants to come out and say that, they are your mother?" She asked looking at Jacob trying to force back tears. "I'm not some stranger, or some lady friend of your fathers. I'm Sarah Black; I'm your mother" She looked at her son and then at Billy as he wheeled closer to her, hoping to protect her if anything happened. "I know I have a lot to answer for, I haven't been in your life for many years. I haven't seen you since you were a baby, but I can explain" She stated looking at her son, she was just waiting and hoping for a reaction.

As Jacob waited he noticed that Sarah was trying to pick her words wisely, and this was a good decision because it wouldn't be good if something wrong was said and he went off. This thought deffinately crossed his mind and he just tryed to tell himself to stay calm no matter what was said, but he wasn't ready for what she had to say. "What......" Was all he could say at first. His mom? But she died. This was not possible. Was this some sort of joke? "Did someone put you up to this?!" He started very angrily but stopped as Billy wheeled himself closer as if to protect her. That ment it was true. That was what the look on Billy's face was for, because he saw his wife after years of thinking she was dead. "No." He denied."Its not possible, she-" He paused before he went on, "you were dead. You can't just come back from the dead." He shook his head, he couldn't really think, his head way too full which made every decision even harder to make. "Did you just leave us?" The idea came to him and he asked it as he looked back up and made eye contact. "Packed up and left because you just didn't feel like staying?! Or what? Did you leave because..... because.... you didn't want us anymore?!" He asked. That probably wasn't it because Billy seemed to still care for her and wasn't mad at all. Jacob looked right at Billy now. "Why are you protecting her?! You don't know why she left, but it was obviously by choice!" He growled and turned away. Sarah went on saying that she could explain herself so he turned back around. "Okay then. Explain."

There was a lot that needed to be said to make things okay again. Sarah knew that she had a lot of time to make up for but she knew that calming Jacob down before he phased was needed, even Billy knew that. Gently she felt Billy's hand reach for hers and she looked down and held onto it only hoping that Jacob would understand what she was going to tell him, Sarah barely remembered the events that happened that night except for the flashes that she got at night in her dreams. Sarah listened to his words and to say the least she tried not to cry, but the tears fell anyway and she looked down unable to make eye contact with the son that she had upset and possibly ruined whatever relationship they would have. Billy's grasp tightened and he nodded for her to tell him and to be honest and clear. There was no easy way to say what she needed to say especially in a way that Jacob might understand.
"As you may know, that night there was a car accident, rain pouring down almost to hard to see, the road was slick and I was antsy" She took a breath. "I barely saw the other car, and I'm sure it didn't see me, our two vehicles collided. I ended up being hurt, not as much as you were told to believe. There was some mis-identification. I was thought to be the other driver and in turn her mangled body was confused for me" she whispered and looked at Jacob letting go of Billy's hand only for a moment. "I never left you guys, for a few years I could barely remember my name; It hurt so much to even remember that much, soon the memories came back. I tried to return sooner" She whispered. Obviously the statement had intrigued Billy. She looked between her son and her husband. "I wasn't allowed, the same reason you think happened is what everyone in this reservation believes, Sam Uley has been making sure I don't step foot back in this reservation" She stated. "I snuck in, If Sam found out I was here he would have killed me by now" She added.
"He is protecting me, the way I would protect him, Jacob" She looked at him. "Me leaving was not by choice. I could barely remember. Leaving you and not even remembering you for so long was the hardest thing I had to do as a mother" she tried to fight back her tears. "There is a reason I could not stay away any longer. maybe you know of the reason" She looked into his eyes. "A bond that cannot be broken, a need to always be there; to feel what the other is feeling; to know when they are hurt or in pain" She recited. "Your father is my imprint" She added and looked at Billy then at her son. "I hope you understand. If not I'm more then happy to leave, if that's what you want Jacob"

Jacob sat and just listened to her explamation. He noticed her starting to cry and he began to feel sort of bad. If this was his mother, and it was, then she was going to stay awhile and they were all going to remember this day, their reunion it seemed to be, as this crossed his mind he decided he better not do anything he was going to regret. He sighed as she finished it all, however there was a question for him to answer. Did he really want her to leave? No, how could he do that to her and to Billy. It would hurt everyone. Maybe he'd even be happier with a mom in the house. He walked over to her which made Billy tense up a moment but relaxed when he saw Jacob hugging his mom. He felt sorry for what he had done, he had obviously hurt her feelings some how. "I'm sorry." He whispered. "I don't want you to go, you seemed to have reason enough but...." He paused and let go, taking a step back. "Sam. Sam wouldn't do that." He paused again. "Right?" He asked and looked a little confused, and he really was. Sam had been there for him so recently when he changed and he just wasn't a bad guy. Why would he keep his 'long lost' mother away? Did he really think he could keep it up for so long? No, because Sam didn't do that, not in Jacob's eyes anyway. He nodded in denial but tried to move on anyway. "If dad is your imprint then I'm not going to stop you, its hard to find that someone and you have." He told her and smiled. Out of everyone in the world one person on it is would be your imprint, to find them and for them to love you to is a dream. A dream come true for his mom, if he stopped that he would never be able to forgive himself and his parents might not be able to either.

This wasn't the way she planned for the reunion to go, but at least her son now knew that she was his mother and that she was still alive, no one would fully understand how it was like to have a son and not be able to see him because of one man keeping her from him when she wanted and needed to see him to feel that spark, to feel alive again. Feeling her sons arms around her , she hugged him back not wanting to ever let him go, but he was the first one to do it so she had to follow and she sighed. Hearing his question she looked down at her hands and looked at Jacob. "He has, It is something that he learned from his father, to make sure that I stay away" She knew that it was a lot to process, but she needed him to know the truth. The facts that only she could give him in every sense of the word. He deserved the truth and she wanted to give it to him. "I'm glad, but I really want you to be comfortable with me being around again" Sarah looked into her sons eyes. Sarah hoped that he would accept her back with open arms but knew how difficult it may have been for him to do that.
