Austin has long flowing blond hair and big gold eyes. When she has hunted in a while her eyes turn a dark magenta color due to her blindness in her previous life. Austin is a scarred soul who's only goal in this life is to heal and bring happiness to others. Austin is friendly and outgoing most of the time but when the anniversary of her father death and her changing she's closed to the world. Due to hurt and mistakes in the past she rarely fully trusts people, but the few she's come to love. When she first started out as a vampire she had no faith whatsoever until she stumbled upon a small country town where she found refuge with an old woman. This woman taught her that she can trust and that time would heal her. And sometimes she actually believes she can.

Austin Ophelia Moon was born to Harriet Jacobs and Axel Moon in Roanoke Virgina in the year of 1903. She was born to a broken family in which she never noticed had problems. At the age of two Austin lost sight in her left eye but she never let it bother her. She continued to do all the things a normal child would do. Still hurt from the divorce of their parents Julie and Dallas Jacobs have a grudge against their gullible little sister and they waited to let her know when she got older. But overall Austin had a good childhood, riding horses, and helping her father out around the ranch.
On the eve of her sixteenth birthday Julie and Dallas took their sister out for a walk telling her that they'd found a den of fox pups, which was something Austin loved. Foolishly believing them they came across an old barn where they hit her over the head with a log they'd stashed and knocked her out. When she awoke she was tied to a chair in the cellar of the barn in complete darkness. When they finally came back for her, three days later, she was barely hanging on. The blow to the head had given her a concussion and she had internal bleeding.When the siblings arrived they had two other people with them, vampires.
The siblings gave Austin to the vampires and in turn the vampires would kill Axel and to set things back to normal. If Axel and Austin Moon didn't exist they could go back to their real father. The Vampires, Ashleigh and her twin Ash, took their prize and ran her deep into the woods where they turned her. Although most newborns remember the first few moments of their new life clearly, Austin tries not to.
When Austin opened her eyes to her new life she was consumed by the smell of smoke and ashes and soon realized the barn they'd stowed her in was on fire. It took only a few minutes to escape and when she did she ran. And that's what she's been doing her whole life. Running from town to town trying to escape her past only it always seemed to find her.
She'd been living in Forks for a year now and she'd made friends and even owns a part of the forest on which she can hunt and protect wildlife. All she wants is to be left to her own devices.
